The Power of Art & Story

April 17 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

Have you ever looked at a piece of art and wondered what story the artist was conveying?

Join us at the Artists Archive,  for an experiential, story-extraction process led by Juniper Mainelis who is known for being a Visionary artist who writes songs and poetry to accompany her paintings. She invites you to explore a technique to find the story within the art.

Register for this event on eventbrite, info@ArtistsArchives.org, or call us 216.721.9020 /  we have a limit of 30 attendees

Attendees will choose a piece of artwork from the AAWR Members Exhibition and have the opportunity to observe how the piece makes them feel. Can we get a sense of a story that was the inspiration behind the creation, or can we simply imagine a story based on how it makes us feel? Participants will jot down words, feelings, or phrases that come to mind while looking at the art, and then compose a short response to share with the group. This will be a fun and eye-opening experience to see how art inspires or influences us. No writing experience necessary!
