We have met our funding goal thanks to the incredible generosity of our patrons and friends. Thank you so much!
Our Goal
We were raising funds to transform our archival storage with museum-grade equipment: moveable art racks, specialized flat files, and improved workspaces. These upgrades ensure safety, visibility, and longevity for our collection
Our Mission
The Artists Archives of the Western Reserve (AAWR) is a unique archival facility and regional museum that preserves representative bodies of work created by Ohio visual artists and, through ongoing research, exhibition, and educational programs, actively documents and promotes this cultural heritage for the benefit of the public.
Why Now?
AAWR has spent the last decade expanding and preserving the cultural legacy of Northeast Ohio artists. As a unique reginal museum and archival facility, we’ve reached a critical point: our space and systems must evolve to match the excellence of the work we preserve. Ohio artists deserve state-of-the-art archival infrastructure that reflects their importance to our history, community, and future.
Preserving the art and stories of our artists is the communal work of preserving our shared history. At the Artists Archives of the Western Reserve, we take this seriously.
