Raised in Cleveland, Stuart’s strong connection to the area translates into his photographs of Cleveland’s skyline, local industry and the surrounding Metroparks. His photographic approach is patient and methodical.  He looks for the special light which will transform a mundane scene into a memorable image that has lasting impact.  This enables the viewer to see daily surroundings in an entirely different which may have been previously ignored.

Stuart believes that photographers should support one another through mentoring and constructive critique.  He strongly feels this is all part of the creative process.  “As artists we are responsible for fostering dialogue with those in our larger community.  This creates a stronger society for everyone.  Communication among peers as well as between creator and viewer provide opportunity for growth, education about the environment, and empathy with people of different cultural backgrounds.  Better understanding can also reduce strife and encourage cooperation among individuals. ”
