I am a recovering photojournalist. I spent 25 years in newspaper photography, then another 15 doing commercial and editorial work. Photographing with film was how I learned photography. I switched to digital as clients demanded it. Now, photographing for myself, I have returned to film and the unmatchable look it provides.

I also have returned to photographing things that brought joy early in life, among them parades, festivals, and County Fairs. I attend them to focus on the people, making documentary portraits of the hard-working youth with their animals as well as lifestyle images, mostly from the livestock barns and arenas.
