Art Bites – Professional Practices, Legacy: Organize and Document

February 22, 2025 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Free

Organize and Document: Saturday Feb 22, 2025, 1-2:30 pm

The first in Artists Archives of the Western Reserve’s Art Bites: Legacy series of workshops meant to help artists and their families with all aspects of the planning that needs to be done in order to preserve their artistic legacies.
This workshop will be led by artist, educator and community activist Gina Washington, and features a presentation from AAWR registrar Katharine Young.
This workshop is designed to help artists start the process of organizing their inventory, and an overview of the process of documentation. It will include discussion on what sorts of things to save and what to discard (art vs. ephemera, examples of work process & the stories behind the work), the use of a database, and resources to help.

In-person in the AAWR gallery.

Tickets are limited in quantity, but free via the Eventbrite link below.

Tickets are required for attendance and planning purposes.
