Legal and Financial: Saturday May 10, 2025, 1-2:30 pm

The third in Artists Archives of the Western Reserve’s Art Bites: Legacy series of workshops meant to help artists and their families with all aspects of the planning that needs to be done in order to preserve their artistic legacies.
This workshop will be led by lawyers Todd Masuda, and Dawn McFadden and will cover how artists can use business and estate planning strategies to help manage their creative careers while working, in retirement, and after death.

In this presentation two attorneys – an estate planner and a business lawyer – discuss legal structures that can help artists establish different ways to manage issues of ownership, disposition, and control for their bodies of work.

Todd K. Masuda is a Cleveland lawyer working primarily with small businesses and nonprofits on business planning and transactional matters. The website for his firm Masuda Law, LLC is www.masudalawllc.com.

Dawn is one of the founding partners of McFadden Bushnell LLC.  Dawn started McFadden Bushnell with her sister, Chris Bushnell.  Her practice focuses on estate planning, estate administration, elder law, asset protection, special needs planning and guardianships. She is passionate about helping her clients craft plans to address the specific goals and concerns for each client.
