The membership program of the AAWR is devoted to building the legacy of regional art in northeast Ohio. Members work to identify significant artists from rich and diverse traditions and to provide resources to preserve the works of these artists, making them available to scholars and an interested public.

By joining the AAWR, you will receive invitations to special events (including Gallery Talks, exhibition openings and more), discounts on classes, our quarterly newsletter, and more! Membership is available to both artists and non-artists (patrons) and supports the organization's efforts to advance our region's art and artists.

Membership in AAWR is available in two categories: Artist and Patron. Both individual memberships cost $50 ($25 for students) per year. Your contribution is fully tax-deductible.

  • AAWR is governed by its Artist members who have voting rights.
  • Artist members select the Board of Trustees of which 2/3 are always artists.
  • Patron members support the mission of the organization through volunteer efforts, fundraising and participation in committees. They have voting rights when elected to the Board of Trustees.
