Artists : Morton Grossman Class of 2001

As an art educator/teacher, Morton Grossman's work encompasses many visions of landscapes through an abstract and expressionistic eye. He began his career by graduating from the Art Students League of New York and has since taught at a number of higher-level institutions: Kent Art Program Teaching Experience Professor of Art; Kent State University Associate Professor of Art; Kent State University Associate Professor of Art; University of Maryland Visiting Faculty; Tyler School of Art ( Temple University) Resident Faculty; Adelphi University Associate Professor of Art; State University College at Buffalo Instructor; Queens College of N.Y. ; School of General Studies Supervisor of Art; Gardiners School. He has received awards for a number of his works including: Dana Medal; Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts Gold Medal of Honor; American Watercolor Society Arches Award; Watercolor U.S.A. (Springfield Art Museum) First Prize; American Drawing Biennial (Norfolk Museum of Art) Audubon Artist Medal American Drawing Annuals (Seven Awards); Knickerbocker Artist of New York Pearl Award; Texas Watercolor Society (Witte Museum) Reinike Prize; Delgado Museum of Art (New Orleans) First Prize for Painting; Jersey City Museum First Prize.
